Dr. Athena Perrakis is the Founder and CEO of Athena’s Lair. She is also the Founder of Sage Goddess and a former university professor with corporate learning and development expertise. Athena served as the Senior Director of Learning and Development for the Corporate Executive Board in Washington, D.C. designing online learning and executive growth programs and delivering those programs to C-suite executives at major Fortune 50 companies like Cisco and Coca Cola. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California, where she taught leadership to students in the Marshall Business School alongside former University President Steven Sample and Leadership Professor Warren Bennis, a world-renowned expert on the subject. Dr. Bennis also served on Athena’s doctoral dissertation committee. Athena went on to teach leadership to doctoral students at the University of San Diego for 8 years before beginning her corporate career and then founded Sage Goddess in 2011. As a professor, she has taught a range of courses in writing and social science, in including mythology, literature, and academic writing at the University of Southern California and El Camino Community College from 1998-2003.

Beyond her academic and spiritual entrepreneurship training, Athena has more than 35 years of experience in the metaphysical and spiritual spaces, studying with more than two dozen accomplished and renowned spiritual teachers, mentors, and shaman.
